SCIENCE DIRECTOR (HEAD OF MACHINE LEARNING)

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• Algorithm Development: Lead the research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and models.

• Model Deployment and Monitoring: Oversee the deployment and integration of machine learning models into production systems.

• Team Management:: Build and lead a team of machine learning experts, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects. 

• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, research publications, and advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

ABOUT YOU

• Degree in a related field.

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, data science, machine learning, or a related field.

• Proven experience in leading machine learning projects, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms, techniques, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Solid knowledge of statistical analysis, experimental design, and evaluation metrics for machine learning models.

NICE TO HAVE

• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of machine learning professionals.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on practical and scalable solutions.

• Proven track record of delivering impactful machine learning solutions that drive business outcomes.
